Volunteer With Us!
Eager to connect with your neighbors and fellow community members? Interested in expanding your knowledge of residential energy systems and usage? Want to help people make decisions about saving energy, money and emissions?
We are continually brainstorming ways for volunteers to assist with our work. Below are a few of the defined roles available, each will require their own corresponding time commitment and training.
- Energy Navigator or Assistant Navigator – Want to work 1:1 with homeowners? Get trained to work with residents to help them develop home energy plans!
- Outreach & Networking Lead – Enjoy face to face time and local community events? Work with us to help promote awareness and use of the Navigator program in your community.
- Button Up Volunteer – More of a ‘work with your hands’ type? Have some basic construction skills you want to put to use? Work with residents to help them get their houses ready for winter.
- Climate Action Curator – Love to research the ever changing landscape of energy efficiency technology? Help curate the resources for one of our main actions: heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, weatherization, energy audits, solar panels, and EVs.
If you would like to volunteer with Energy Navigators, but are not sure if any of the roles above are the right fit – please do not hesitate to reach out! We know you will bring your own skills, ideas and energy and are excited to collaborate!
Volunteers are a crucial component of Energy Navigators. By sharing their time, skills, and knowledge these individuals exponentially increase the work we are able to accomplish and the ways we are able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. We are extremely grateful for the vast experience and varied perspectives that each of our volunteers brings to our team.
Thank you for considering volunteering and your interest in helping our community and environment to thrive together!
